Calen was born in a small village called Wellytonshire in 1983, began his first job in the art world when he was 16 as a storyboard artist which he did on and off for around eight years, during this time he dabbled in acting, bar work, camera work, teaching, curb-side rubbish sorting and a number of other odd jobs until he met Inia Taylor III who graciously agreed to show this little upstart some things about tattoo. after two years learning from Inia, calen once again heard the call of the shire and returned home where he still resides to this day.
